All of the proceeds from the third edition of the Loose Goose Golf Classic benefit the Brenda Mehling Cancer Fund (BMCF). Brenda Mehling was a dear friend to many people currently active as volunteers for the Loose Goose Wine Festival. The Brenda Mehling Cancer Fund supports patients between 18-40 years old, currently undergoing cancer treatment. The Fund covers services to meet daily needs, such as housing, co-payments, health expenses, rent, insurance, and groceries. Since Brenda founded the Fund in 2001, since then it has helped 147 recipients, providing $50,922 in support services in 2005 and $43,312 in 2006. It is committed to give another $50,000 in 2007. Brenda founded the Fund to help young adults maintain self-respect during treatment and minimize the stress of associated financial challenges. Her vision and sacrifice continue to inspire others beyond her years. Chairing this event are Darrin Craig, Nancy Jordan, Cathy Harper and Alex Sheridan.As different and surprising as the Loose Goose Wine Festival is, the Golf Classic at Robinson Ranch on Thursday October 2, 2008 will be equally unforgettable. This tournament revolves around wine, cigars, and golf.The cost to play in the Loose Goose Golf Classic is $1,500.00 for a foursome.

Check-in begins at 9:00am and play will begin with a shotgun start at 11:00am. Scramble format.
And since this event is part of the Loose Goose Wine Festival, when you’re on the course, there will be wine tasting at every par 3 hole.
The Loose Goose Golf Classic Awards Reception will begin at 6:00pm when all of the players have returned from the course. At the evening event, four wineries will pour wine for you to taste with an hors d’oeuvres buffet. The silent auction of wine, cigar, and golf items will also benefit the Brenda Mehling Cancer Fund.

You can still support the Brenda Mehling Cancer Fund by:
1) Attending the evening festivities. Each golfer will be given 1 guest pass for the evening awards ceremony, tasting, and silent auction. Extra tickets may be purchased for $50.00
2) Purchasing a commemorative etched double magnum for $295.00
3) Purchasing a Tee sign. Each foursome includes a tee sign, but extras may be purchased. Or purchase one if you are unable to attend the tournament, but would like your company name seen. Tee signs may be purchased for $250.00
