Greetings fellow wine lovers!

The fourth edition of the Loose Goose Wine Festival will take place October 4-7, 2007 in the charming Santa Clarita Valley, gateway to the northern wine country. Located 35 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles, this picturesque backdrop will host an impressive gathering of up to 100 wineries and up to 50 luxury-related vendors for four days of exquisite wine-tasting encounters.

With a record attendance of 7,500 guests, the 2007 edition of our festival became the largest wine gathering in Southern California.

As a native of northern Belgium, I am no stranger to wine and culinary pleasures. They are deeply rooted in my family tradition. My grandfather held one of the largest private wine collections on mainland Europe, and my father was an award-winning pastry chef and master chocolatier. Mix in the Michelin-star-like daily cooking of my mom, and it is no wonder that I ended up in the business I am in.

In my family, we think of wine as fermented grape juice plus romance. At The Loose Goose we want to highlight the romance and passion — the stories about the people and the wine they have created.  The Loose Goose Wine Festival presents an array of wineries — hand selected, by invitation onl — bringing a mix of large, medium and smaller, up-and-coming vineyards from California, across the United States, and from around the world to one of the largest wine consuming markets in the United States.

Whether you are a connoisseur, just curious about the captivating world of wine, or someone who simply enjoys the charm and fascination of quality wines, the Loose Goose Wine Festival provides an opportunity to sample the best of what the world of wine has to offer today. A portion of the festival proceeds benefits the Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Health Foundation and the Brenda Mehling Cancer Fund.

In closing, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to our Team Coordinators, Sponsors, Vendors, Wineries, Volunteers, Supporters and The Loose Goose Staff at our “worldwide headquarters”. Without all of them, it would be impossible to bring to you this wonderful event.
